Seeing that made me chuckle a little. Good video I must say. It already has media controls! lol, the phone is so intuitive that it’s not necessary. By the way, Cnet gave a great review of the Nokia 5700. The phone doesn’t need to have a touch screen. Still, I can see why people would want one…it’s like MAGIC! See Again Music N81 You’ll in Alicia Nokia Key’s Sighting: Me Never Like Video
I described all these features in my first part Nokia N81 review. Hire Me! If I was the product marketing advisor to the video, I would have suggested Alicia Keys to browse the picture gallery with her boyfriend while rotating Navi wheel then zooming in and out using the buttons on the left. I understand that the Nokia N81 was selected for target viewers who are into music, but the feature that should have been in the video are the music player, the Navi wheel, and the dedicated gaming buttons that work as zoom in and out of pictures in the picture gallery. The Nokia N95 is the better phone for that. I’ve seen several product placements before from Nokia, but I’m surprised at the length of the continuous footage. The Nokia N81 is spotted in Alicia Key’s music video of Like You’ll Never See Me Again. The Nokia N81 is the flagship music and gaming phone. Why was Alicia Keys watching a homemade video on the phone? However, I disagree how the Nokia N81 was marketed in this video. According to this downloadable .pdf press release by entertainment analyst firm Understanding & Solutions, the growth of mobile game market seems to continue strongly - stronger than console or handheld market, which places mobile at second position after the online games market. “Global revenues from mobile gaming are pegged at $3.6Bn this year,” says Understanding & Solutions Analyst, David Rouse, “and we predict this figure to rise to $6.0bn by 2011. However, pay per download is still the most significant revenue generator across all regions.” “Looking to emerging markets, particularly China and India, the segment is driven by snowballing mobile phone take-up rates; however, due to comparably low prices, Asia - excluding Korea and Japan - is still expected to account for less than 10% of globalrevenues in 2011.”

Wide the for Full Screen Nokia Nseries Instead Screen of Crop How To: on Movies
It is 848 x 448 pixels resolution. For our example, the answer is 126.08 pixels. Step 3. Round X down to the nearest even number. For this example, we’ll use the Hancock trailer downloaded from Apple’s website. Write down the size of the original movie file. Since we are already in advanced settings, let’s also check deinterlace and the Two-pass options for improved picture quality. Copy these advanced settings for VisualHub for fullscreen video. Step 5. That’s it. Some people prefer the widescreen, but my argument here is that the option should at least be available to us. —Related Articles at the Nokia blog:Nokia E61iNokia E61Video: Add Touch Screen to Nokia N95?Preview: Nokia N82 Hands On Impressions by Symbian-FreakNokia N73Video: Nokia N81 Versus Nokia N80 Preview by Cellulare So 126.08 will be rounded down to 126 pixels. Step 4. I’ll use VisualHub and follow my previous post on How To Convert Videos To Nseries Using VisualHub. Step 2. Convert the video and we’ll have a full screen video to enjoy on our phone. It sucks that I have to go through this workaround while it only requires one press on the iPhone’s screen to get the same desired result. I’ll share a math formula, so I hope your algebra and calculator skills are still fresh. Fullscreen Versus Widescreen on the Nokia N95 8GB I’ll be using VisualHub for the conversion, but the formula will also work in other encoding software that lets you crop videos. Step 1. Under the advanced settings, enter what we found as X and the resolution of our phone which is 320 x 240 pixels. It requires cropping some pixels off the sides of the movie. Use this formula to find how much to crop from the left and right sides of the movie: X = (W - 1.33H) / 2. It makes me jealous that the iPhone can fill the screen to play movies, while my Nokia N95 8GB and other Nseries phones can’t. 848 is the width (W) while 448 is the height (H) of the video. Until they add this feature, here’s a workaround to view movies full screen.

There are currently nothing else like it that take advantage of YouTube’s library and still maintain good playback quality. Hit by Revenues Mobile Billion 6 Dollars to Games 2011
Although not seen as the killer application for mobile, games areincreasingly important as the market continues to see major growth.” “Subscription based and ad-funded models are on the rise,” continues Rouse, “and microtransactions - the acquisition of additional levels or virtual goods during game play – are also beginning to play a part. However, pay per download is still the most significant revenue generator across all regions.” “Looking to emerging markets, particularly China and India, the segment is driven by snowballing mobile phone take-up rates; however, due to comparably low prices, Asia - excluding Korea and Japan - is still expected to account for less than 10% of globalrevenues in 2011.” According to this downloadable .pdf press release by entertainment analyst firm Understanding & Solutions, the growth of mobile game market seems to continue strongly - stronger than console or handheld market, which places mobile at second position after the online games market. “Global revenues from mobile gaming are pegged at $3.6Bn this year,” says Understanding & Solutions Analyst, David Rouse, “and we predict this figure to rise to $6.0bn by 2011.

An interesting study by Parks Associates, The New Frontier: Portable and Mobile Gaming, states that mobile phone remains very strongly as a casual gaming platform. “New 3D and multiplayer mobile games look great in demos, but casual games are where the money is and will be for the next few years.” — which is good for (at least) Flash Lite game industry. “According to the report, fewer than 10% of on-the-go Internet gamers want to play core or console-centric games on a mobile phone, compared with 55% who want to play puzzle and card games on mobile phones and more than 30% who want word and arcade games.” Read the press release

Nokia and N82 Review: Megapixel Camera 5 Its
This is not a problem for the Nokia N82. I’ve been using the phone to take pictures while hanging out with friends at night, and I can tell you that the experience is a lot better than using any other phones I’ve used (I have not tested the Nokia N95 8GB thoroughly yet and will see how the camera performs against the Nokia N82 soon). In a brighter environment, this light does not go on. Don’t take the picture when it is red, or else the picture will come out blurry. Sample Images Words simply can’t describe the image quality. After 2 weeks of using the Nokia N82, I’m reviewing about its flagship feature: the camera. The camera application opens immediately after the lens cover is opened and you press the shutter halfway to get an automatic focus and then press fully to take the picture. It is a white light that goes on when pressing the shutter halfway before taking the picture. This can be confusing for people in front of the Nokia N95’s camera because they think the light was the flash and that the picture as already taken. It is not perfect, but what cameraphone is? —Related Articles at the Nokia blog:Nokia N82The iPhone Ads are Incredible and Makes Me Want to Buy ItView From Brooklyn with the Nokia N95 8GB and Nokia N82Preview: Nokia N82 Hands On Impressions by Symbian-FreakExclusive Video: Nokia N82 Product Manager Q&A SessionHighly Possible Nokia N82 Nseries Launch in a Few Hours I know it is related to the flash, but I’m clueless to what specific situations these flares appear in. The Nokia N95’s AF assist lamp uses the same as the flash lamp. I can’t name any other Nseries phone better for the job. Correct focus is found when you see green brackets. All pictures were taken in automatic mode with flash on. Complaints. I noticed a few of my pictures from the Nokia N82 have circular flares from the flash. Learn more by reading Digital Photography Review’s definition of AF assist lamps. The AF assist light on the Nokia N82 Versus Nokia N95. How does the Nokia N82’s camera compare to Nokia N95? Will it replace current standalone digital cameras like the Canon Powershots? This is the phone to have with you on those fun weekend nights out with your friends. The image quality is quite similar during daytime, but very different during the evening. I have taken some random pictures of New York City in a previous post, tested the xenon flash performance in complete darkness, and uploaded more pictures on my Flickr with the N82. You can also read the first part reviewing the Nokia N82’s general physical/hardware before continuing. One more thing I don’t like about the Nokia N82 is that the camera button is not raised enough like the button on the Nokia N95. Definitely not, but those cameras can’t do half as much what these ‘multimedia computers’ are capable of. Seamless Experience. I’m amazed at how imaging has evolved in cell phones. The flares show up randomly. In the end, I think the camera itself should make this Nseries phone worth buying. Nokia N82’s 5mp Camera with Xenon Flash The Nokia N82 is the Nseries imaging flagship device. A search on Google also leads to many photos taken by the Nokia N82 uploaded on Flickr by others. Here are some night indoor pictures I took from a Thai restaurant. It means that if you ask Nokia, “what phone is currently the best for taking picures?” they will respond, “Nokia N82!” This cameraphone features 5 megapixel lens with infrared autofocus assist lamp and most importantly the xenon flash. It is a tad easier on the Nokia N95 to press “halfway” for focusing on objects. Conclusion I love the camera on the Nokia N82. It works just like any standalone digital camera. Great AF Assist lamp. The Nokia N82 features an AF assist red light that illuminates the object in a dark environment before taking the picture to determine how to adjust the focus. The main reason for this is the bright xenon flash, but also in part of the AF assist lamp. I also found that the Nokia N82 finds the correct focus a lot more than the Nokia N95 can.

Add Video: Touch Nokia Screen N95? to
Still, I can see why people would want one…it’s like MAGIC! Well, it’s as simple as placing a thin film of “advanced technology” over your screen. Interested in turning your beloved Nokia N95 into a touch screen? But while watching it you can tell that the phone is spliced in half. Anyway, these types of videos always amuse me. Now I know this is a solidly built N95, not the Nokia Xpress Music 5700 which can twist on it’s axis. Good video I must say. It already has media controls! By the way, Cnet gave a great review of the Nokia 5700. The left side of the phone moves while the right side stays still. The phone doesn’t need to have a touch screen. Then see after the Jump… lol. Seeing that made me chuckle a little. Intrigued? lol, the phone is so intuitive that it’s not necessary. emTube Watch with Videos Review: Youtube
I absolutely love this feature! Conclusion emTube is now my favorite app. It would be cool if the multimedia controls on the Nokia N95 were integrated. emTube listing of Featured and Searched videos. Save or Favorite it. You can save the movies on the phone so you don’t have to stream it later. emTube works great especially with the built-in automatic rotation. It is my current favorite app, but it still needs a little more work. Download emTube - YouTube player. Ugly Icons. The main menu allows you to browse through Youtube by search, Featured, Top Rated, and Most Viewed videos. There are currently nothing else like it that take advantage of YouTube’s library and still maintain good playback quality. We can mark videos as Favorite and it will be listed on the Favorites menu for quicker access. You can also start watching the videos even when the download is not done, but I found it is better to wait finishing the download. My complaint here is that the icons are not the prettiest things to look at. What Settings? Under the settings, we are supposed to be able to adjust the default volume, start videos automatically, manually, or after downloads, and adjust cache size (I don’t know what it does). Pros: Good video quality. Up and down are volume, while left and right are for tracking back or forward. Playback is jerky when the download is incomplete.
