Recap Nokia Nseries Party LA Unlocked
Another room for taking pictures and uploading to Flickr. Then I get the opportunity to meet many of the Nokia blogging/forums community in person in one place. I think that can also be considered a good thing. Some of the HOFO crew. A room demoing Slingmedia, where I interviewed the senior product marketing manager. at the Nokia blog”>Nokia flew me from New York to join them in Los Angeles. Each room had plenty of phones for everyone to play with. A manager telling me they have a department reading the blogs, discuss in meetings what are being written and put in consideration to determine what needs to be done. I get to compare the Nokia N95-3 to N95 8gb to help me decide which one is better for me. Bigger screen or faster internet? There were lots of it so you did not have to wait long to get your hands on one. Can’t decide which one I want. The rooms in the mansion had different themes and purposes. Others took the opportunity to fire off some annoyances and problems with the current phones. | Home”>N95 Users, and Mike from Acid Studioz to check out Los Angeles in the afternoon. The bloggers walking through Rodeo Drive. I’m bigger than Hollywood! You can see all the pictures I took from my Nokia N95 on Flickr. To top it all, I talked one-on-one with the product managers responsible for the phones and devices I love. Outside was a table for the GPS demonstrations. I’m trying out the new N-Gage service. GPS demo and the DJ playing music from a Nokia N95. Later in the evening, we went into in a quieter room with product managers for questions and answers. Nokia, why do I have to choose?! Not So Great A few demonstrators that did not know much about the product they are demonstrating. Gift bags with missing items. I wish I spent more time playing with the phones, but was distracted by talking to a lot of people. There was an arcade room showing off the N-gage service. I really liked the fact that all the devices were available to play with. And then since our flights leave around the same time, I rented a white Chrysler 300c with Darla Mack, Cary from Nokia Phone Blog, Jeremiah from

Video: N81 by Cellulare Nokia Nokia N80 Preview Versus
I have held the Nokia N80 and my first impression was, “Wow this is thick!” Even though the N80 has a smaller screen, it beats the N81 by having a higher screen resolution. Take a look. From the video, you can see how much thinner the Nokia N81 is compared to the N80. Cellulare says in the video that this is bad news for the Nokia N81, but honestly, I’d prefer having a bigger screen than a higher resolution. —Related Articles at the Nokia blog:Nokia N80Nokia N80 Firmware Update Now AvailableNokia N93 Versus the Sony HandycamVideo: Sheila vs Jen Boxing on Nintendo WiiVideo: Nokia N81 8GB Final Production Unboxing and Initial UsageNokia N81 Cellulare Magazine reviews the Nokia N81 by providing a Nokia N81 vs. Nokia N80 comparison video. In the end, they think the Nokia N81 will be a revolutionary phone just like the Nokia N80 when it was released. They also show a demo of an N-Gage game at the end.

Mocarbon Moket from
Dale/Moket has released a really cool Flash Lite wallpaper content site, Mocarbon. It’s all about animated wallpapers that aim to educate the masses in order to reduce the usage of electricity — as leaving ones phone charger plugged into socket uses electricity all the time. Gotta say, exactly the type of thinking we have been doing lately — cool to see Mocarbon live! Check it out! http://www.mocarbon.com

3 Lite is Flash official
Do remember to download the Flash Lite 3 update for Flash. Nokia and NTT Docomo have stated that they will support Flash Lite 3 in their mobile devices. The footprint of the player is 380 kb, meaning it is considerably less than previous Flash Lite player. It seems to be very close to Flash 8 player. You can request a developer version from Adobe (certified on Nokia N95 only). (sorry, only for Flash CS 3). They will provide tools and Software Development Kits (SDKs), and technical and business support. Oh and do rememeber to download the Flash Lite 3.0 update for Device Central CS3 if you developing Flash Lite applications and testing them in Device Central. Read the full press release Flash Lite 3 is now officially launched! Some upgrades: upgrade is the support for Flash Video, and the ability to browse Flash websites directly from your phone, MMI extensions for User Interface design. The code performance is promised to be 15-20% faster, and rendering 20-30% faster. Related to this, Nokia has announced Creative Pros community (read the press release here).

Nokia Initial and N81 Video: Unboxing 8GB Production Usage Final
I’ll leave my initial thoughts and review for a later post. I made a video of the unboxing as well as a few minutes of initial usage with it. I received a final production of the Nokia N81 8GB today for testing. Check out the video! It looks like Stefan from IntoMobile received the Nokia N81 8GB, too and posted an unboxing of the N81. —Related Articles at the Nokia blog:Review: Nokia N81 8GB Part INokia N95 8GB Video Preview By Nokia GeekVideo: The Nokia N81 Song Lip SyncAnticipation For The Nokia N95 Release DateVideo: Nokia N81 Commercial The Next EpisodePreview: Nokia N81 Initial Thoughts Right off the bat, I wanted to see the Navi wheel, new multimedia menu, and the N-gage games.

LA Party Nseries Recap Unlocked Nokia
| Home”>N95 Users, and Mike from Acid Studioz to check out Los Angeles in the afternoon. The bloggers walking through Rodeo Drive. I’m bigger than Hollywood! You can see all the pictures I took from my Nokia N95 on Flickr. First of all,

I Nokia Part Review: N81 8GB
However, it is hard to settle down for this size, knowing that the Nokia N95 8GB has a 2.8 inch screen. I’ll review about using the Nokia N81 8GB interface and software in a later post. According to the box, the Nokia N81 8GB is warm silver/brown. Buttons When the N81 8GB is closed while hiding the numeric keypad, I counted 18 buttons just on the front part of the phone! When the music player is on, the music keys light up. The Nokia N81 8GB came with earphones that go around the back of your neck. We are going to see this in many upcoming phones and I love it! Let’s see the keys in that area: green call, red end-call, left soft-key, right soft-key, main menu, multimedia menu, clear, play/pause, stop, forward, back, left, right, up, down, and center. Even though there’s a lot of buttons in that part of the phone, Nokia does a great job illuminating only the necessary buttons depending on what you are using. The sliding mechanism is firm. This option is not available in my Nokia N95. Pencil Key. This comes in real handy if you do not want the music to play randomly while your phone is inside your bag. The attention to details like the dimming and the lighting of the music and gaming keys at the right moment is pretty cool. Keyguard slide. I also like that the display is protected by another layer instead of just flat with the whole fascia. The 2.4 inch screen on the Nokia N81 8GB leaves you wanting more. Color. The Nokia N81 includes a micro-USB port for data transfers with our computers. I prefer regular earphones that go down my neck, but joggers like the ones that go around the neck because it doesn’t fall out easily. If I want to turn it off, I just hold the button down. Volume Keys. Nothing special about the volume keys! The Nokia N81 8GB feels heavier in the hands than the Nokia N95. You can play music while doing other things like reading my blog! Music keys. Nice and subtle. The battery cover of the Nokia N81 8GB has shiny brown speckles. Slide. It connects to a middle piece where you can control music or pick up phone calls. For example, the music keys are dimmed and the gaming keys are off when using the phone in general. It does not bother me that the pencil key is gone because the same options can be brought up by pressing the * button while texting as well. This means snapping pictures is really quick, but don’t expect the same quality from the Nokia N95 with autofocus. There is no auto focus on the Nokia N81 8GB camera. Power. While it may not be a major problem to some, I found it annoying to press down hard when scrolling through web pages. It moves by itself with a nice snapping sound when you push it up or down halfway through. From an arm’s length, the front of the phone looks like it is black with mocha on the sides. After playing with it, I actually just prefer turning the Naviwheel option off. I also found the Naviwheel very sturdy, requiring a lot of effort to press down. The Nokia N81 has a 2.4 inch display. I am reviewing the Nokia N81 8GB in two parts. That means you can’t hold the camera button halfway to focus on your subject. You tap once to bring up profiles like silent, normal, vibrate, etc… then keep tapping to go down the list. Volume up… volume down. Input and Output Earphones. There’s no pencil key in the Nokia N81, which you can find in other Nseries phones. I can lose my USB cable, and know that I can go into any electronics store to buy one right away if I don’t have a spare one lying around. Speakers. For the the physical aspects of the N81 8GB, I think the phone is well designed and nicely built, but it has a few annoyances. You might also want to read my preview of the Nokia N81 8GB and watch my unboxing video of the N81 along with this review. Overview Weight. What’s cool is that you can do this while doing something else like browsing the web, checking email, or even playing a game. It is the same screen size as the Nokia N93i. However, I’m glad they provide the option of turning it on or off, instead of leaving it on by default. This phone will be great for those who spend a lot of time listening to music, and also want to play games on their phone because of the dedicated gaming keys. However, you can choose to turn the keyguard option on automatically when closing the slide in the settings. You can also use your own earphones if you like, but, people are starting to use bluetooth headphones to listen to music on their phones. You can find out more about Nokia’s new bluetooth headsets at Non Stop Living. Listening to music with the included earphones. Micro-USB. A closer look of the back of the phone shows tiny speckles that shine as light reflects from the panel. But watch your thumbs! I am not sure whether future firmware updates will enable it throughout the whole phone. I was in a really quiet hallway yesterday with the Nokia N81 in my backpack and it scared the hell out of me when something just played out of nowhere. I get to experience it first-hand. In my preview of the Nokia N81 8GB, I mentioned that the N81 weighs 140 grams, while the N95 weighs 120 grams. Next to the power button is the key lock that slides to the right and goes back to its original position. I also like that the title of the song pops up on the upper right corner display if I am not currently not on the music player display. It is useful in copying and pasting text, but since this button is not available in the N81, Nokia provided “Editing options” in the menu where copy and paste are available. The power button works similar to any other Nseries phone. If two of those buttons are the dedicated gaming keys, that means the other 16 buttons are packed together with the Naviwheel. Hold it again to activate the desired profile. More details on that on my software and interface review of the Nokia N81. Camera button. The gaming keys lights up when playing an N-gage game and also when used to zoom in or out of photos in the gallery. Naviwheel. You have to go to the settings to turn it on. It is definitely loud enough to start a small party anywhere! Part I Conclusion Overall I like the design of the Nokia N81 8GB. It doesn’t look like a big difference, but you can certainly feel it when you hold both of them. Display. You can press the play button at any time to play the last song you were listening to. In this post, I’ll go in-depth with the form factor of the phone and how it is related to the functions. It requires more than average effort to press the Naviwheel, and expect accidental keypresses because of the many buttons packed together in a small space. Music keys are dimmed when the Music player is not used. And to end this part of the review, watch my friends and I make a fool of ourselves lip singing about the Nokia N81… if you haven’t seen it yet. Note: All the photos in this post were taken with the Nokia N95. —Related Articles at the Nokia blog:Video: Nokia N81 8GB Final Production Unboxing and Initial UsageNokia N95 Review by the Nokialist Part 1Video: Nokia N81 Commercial The Next EpisodeNokia N95 8GB CommercialVideo: The Nokia N81 Song Lip SyncNokia Los Angeles Mansion Party Itinerary What surprised me is that the Naviwheel, which is supposed to work like the iPod wheel navigation, is off by default. I mentioned in my preview of the Nokia N81 8GB, it has really loud speakers. There is no auto focus on the 2-megapixel camera of the Nokia N81. The Naviwheel navigation is only useable in the multimedia menu, music player, and photo gallery. You do not need to slide it in place all the way.

aka 3G aka N95 N95-3 N95 the America North aka Nokia Review: New N95 US
To give you an easier example, my Nokia N95-3 was fully charged this morning at 7AM and since then, I’ve left Jaiku on, continually browsed the web, checked email, watch youtube videos, took pictures, and surprisingly at 8PM I still have full battery bars. Better Build. The Nokia N95-3 is a double slider phone revealing the numeric keypad on one side, and dedicated music and video playbacks on the other. You can use the web, minimize the window and look at the picture gallery, then use the GPS, then go back to the camera to make a video, while Jaiku runs in the background updating your status. Don’t worry if your phone is lying flat on a surface, because the lens are slightly deeper. What do I think? If I had the Nokia N95-1 with me, it’d be already be giving me the beeping death of low-battery. Genius, I’ll use the GPS in my Nokia N95, while you go to a gas station to find out what zip code you need to enter in your iPhone’s Maps. This made the Nokia N95-3 feel more solid and better built. No noise when tapping the front. Dedicated Multimedia Buttons. The Nokia N95-3 features dedicated buttons for video and music playback. The Nokia N95-3 comes with a big improvement in RAM memory. Sounds bold but true. The autofocus takes forever in the dark, so you have to tell whoever you are taking picture of to stand still longer than average! Finding out where I am with the GPS only takes a few seconds. This is very useful and is featured in the iPhone. Conclusion The Nokia N95-3 is currently the best phone or device out there. When I went to LA, there was no way I could have gone to places. Everything was far from each other. The camera lens are protected if placed on flat surface. Performance: the Inside Beauty Faster Internet. The Nokia N95-3 works with the fast 3G service by AT&T here in the United States that the Nokia N95-1 is lacking. If you need to know how many seconds it takes for the camera to open, it’s about 4 seconds in the Nokia N95-1 and about 5 seconds in the Nokia N95-3. A problem is that since the camera lens is unprotected by a cover, it might be prone to scratches. The new Nokia N95-3 brings attention to the flaws of the older version, but I think it is currently the best phone/device out there. All the pictures in this post were taken with the Nokia N95. To lessen the confusion between its names and nicknames, I will refer to this phone in this review as the Nokia N95-3, as labeled on the UPC of the box. The difference? Complaints included slides that wobbled and made noises when you tap the bottom right facia. That is basically like DVD quality camcorder that fits in your pocket. Complaints and Suggestions. The Nokia N95-3 should have been the Nokia N95 that was initially released. Make sure to check AT&T’s coverage map to see if your area has it. Longer life. The Nokia N95-1 came with 950mah battery, while the N95-3 comes with 1200mah. The flash helps a little bit at night, but do not come out as good as the regular consumer cameras. To fix this, switch the camera mode to Night Portrait, a simple step that most current Nokia N95 users ignore. Sample picture with Nokia N95: Me and Darla Mack in front of Hollywood sign. Video is amazing on this little device, shooting 30 frames per second at VGA size (640 x 480 resolution). It’s useless.” I gave him a “Are you stupid?” look but played nice. It is like having a computer in my hands. After a few tries, the Nokia N95-1 opens the camera application faster when the shutter cover is opened, compared to holding the camera button in the Nokia N95-3. Which is faster? If you owned any kind of music player, then you’d know how to use these buttons. In summary, it is the Nokia N95 that should have been released in the first place because of the better build quality and better performance. Owners of the previous model, which from hereon will be called the Nokia N95-1, complained of bad quality sliding mechanism. Since this is only a software issue, Nokia has no excuse not to include it in future firmwares. Include a “.com” shortcut to complete URL’s when browsing the web. This review is also written with beginners in mind and not getting too technical with specs, bandwidths, and technology blabber. Form Factor: The Physical Aspects Color. There are two colors currently available. I did not have trouble pressing the buttons in the older model but the upgrade is nice extra touch. Playback buttons on the Nokia N95-3 are more tactile. No Shutter Cover. Now on the newer Nokia N95-3, in order to use the 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens, you can set up a shortcut on the active display, or simply press and hold the the camera button. I’ll review the newly released Nokia N95-3 that works with the US AT&T 3G. Nokia N95-3 Running 6 apps and still 53.5MB RAM left compared to Nokia N95-1 struggling with running Maps and Web with 8MB left. While the average user may not need to open up all these apps at the same time, more RAM leads to snappier performance. GPS Navigation. An Apple Genius at the 5th Avenue Apple Store saw my Nokia N95 and said to me, “Do you really need GPS? iPhone Maps versus Nokia N95 GPS. The only problem I have with the GPS, is that I often get a “results not found” when searching using keywords. Nokia needs to improve on that. Camera and Video. Pictures come out really great on the Nokia N95 with proper lighting. Okay Mr. That translates to 26% battery improvement. I went ahead for the black color, because it did not feel cheap, unlike the brown one. Brown or black? Better Slide. With the 3G service on AT&T that gives me fast internet browsing, any kind of information available on the web is literally a few clicks away. —Related Articles at the Nokia blog:Video: The Nokia N81 Song Lip SyncNokia N95 8GB Video Preview By Nokia GeekGuest Writer Delon Introduction PostNokia N80 Firmware Update Now AvailableNokia Los Angeles Mansion Party ItineraryEasy to Replace the Nokia N95 Cover I’m a little annoyed I had to buy a second phone to get the results I expected. The new multimedia menu is not available in the Nokia N95-3 yet. This basically means you can run more than one applications at the same time, just like using a computer. About a second. The black has a soft surface, while the brown one has a hard surface, feeling like hard plastic. Reading from my blog, you can read all the things I can do with this phone, like install games and additional applications. You can see all the Nokia blog videos on YouTube created on the Nokia N95-1 and my past Nseries phones. I did not find this problem on my Nokia N95-3. Different on the Nokia N95-3 is that the buttons are more protruding than in the N95-1. However like everything else, it is not perfect. The 5 megapixel camera and DVD-quality videos also make it a perfect gadget to whip out at unexpected events to record for memories. this improvement aspect really makes me hate Nokia for releasing the N95-1 with such a disgraceful battery life. True Multimedia Computer. I have yet to see an “out of memory” error or situations where programs just close unexpectedly in the background. During this review, the firmware I have is version 10.2.006. Just be careful when putting it in your pocket along with your coins and keys.

Possibilities of the 2-[megapikselnoy] camera Of nokia Of n90>>>

In the new rule of [smartfonov] of the company Of nokia with the index N, the model Of nokia Of n90 occupies intermediate position, if we proceed from its numeration. Opens a number at the current moment the model Of nokia Of n70, [topovoy] model is Nokia Of n91. But in reality the model Of n90 strongly differs from its fellows, these are the considerably [pererabotannaya] platform Of series 60 (version 2.8), the first representative of the new generation of [smartfonov] from the company Of nokia. Basic difference from the young model in the increased permission of screen, which forced developers to considerably rework the program part of the apparatus. In the elder model the screen old, but appears hard drive, Wi-Fi, the metallized housing in the style Of nokia 8800, in the larger measure this is certain musical combine. [Smartfon] Of nokia Of n91 - recessed device, it stands beside the basic rule, however, as all models of a N- series today. It is another matter that in the near future on the basis these models we will see a number of the solutions in 6000 and 3000 series. Producer specially emphasized the component of design in order to isolate model from its model number, to make their audience of that not being intersecting business segment directly, but that only affecting the part of the users in the Ger.

The design Of nokia Of n90 is the logical development of the idea, realized into Nokia 6260. Company sequential time placed [smartfon] into the form factor of [raskladushki] with rotary upper half. If we judge by the form factor, then this model does not have straight competitors (experiments like [smartfona] Of rover S2 here examine we will not be), there are no analogous solutions in the arsenals of other companies. But uniqueness does not always indicate convenience for the user, as it came out in the case Of nokia 6260. Badly thought-out ergonomics became basic minus of this apparatus: functional keys were carried out to the upper part of the apparatus, digital were located, on the contrary, below. It turned out that you constantly should it was necessary transfer hands into another plane, this was extremely difficultly. In minus it is possible to write down the large weight of apparatus, and the absence of external screen, which made it necessary either to disconnect answer on the disclosure or to turn over screen so that it would be located outside. Censures were serious, and the opinions of users abounded with uncomplimentary epithets, although the apparatus arrived very opportunely for its purposeful audience ([glamur], for example).

In the case Of nokia Of n90 we see serious work on the errors Of nokia 6260, control radically [pererabotano]. The first innovation became the arrangement of the module of camera separately from the primary construction. For all companies the size of telephone remains the limiting factor, in order to add large matrix with the best characteristics, it is necessary to endow by the thickness of apparatus with the classical layout. The depth of module is determent factor, although last developments in this region very multi-promisecabbages soup and we see the first examples of their application, for example, in the model of the telephone Of sony Of ericsson Of k750. In N90 the module of camera they carried out to the upper end and made his mobile. If we place apparatus vertically, then you will be able to revolve module 270 degrees, then fixation will occur. The mobility of module makes it possible to attain a change in the viewing angle during the photographing, which is sufficiently uncommon: telephone is not required to move, it suffices to turn camera. Simultaneously with the improvements they occurred and explicit worsenings - it cannot be worked with the basic screen in the folded state. I.e., to accumulate [smartfon] by basic screen upward, to hide keyboard as into Nokia 6260 (convenient in this state to read books, to work with some other applications). When for the first time you take apparatus into the hand - thumb clearly it falls on the objective of camera, leaving there imprint.

But camera does not occupy the total volume of this module, dynamic loudspeaker here also is placed. Due to the arrangement on the upper end, its loudness is a little higher than in the previous models.

In the closed state the module of camera is level with the housing of apparatus, but it suffices to open telephone, and it departs to the rear surface, it is converted in its kind support. If we place telephone on the table in the opened state, then you will see, that it lies at comfortable angle. This is convenient in the case, when you use Bluetooth- keyboard - it is not required additional support. When telephone in the hands, module are not so convenient, but it is possible to clench it by fingers.

The size of apparatus is not small in the comparison with the common telephones, not [smartfonami] (112[kh]51[kh]24 mm). But, with the comparison with [smartfonami] you will see, that Nokia Of n90 practically completely coincides from Sony Of ericsson Of p900, P910, has only larger size than Nokia 6680/6681. But in contrast to the mentioned models, the form factor of [raskladushki] assumes disclosure, it is here in such working order and it is necessary to, perhaps, compare these models. Indeed the large part of the time we work with the telephone precisely thus. Telephone heavy and here does not save its balancing, to collect communications by one hand is very difficult. Even from the man hands force rapidly departs, for you it is necessary to intercept apparatus by the second hand. In face the telephone appears gigantic, indeed in the opened state, it is almost two times more than the common standard telephones of the current generation.

Disputes about the dimensions of apparatus are senseless, someone will calculate by their acceptable, someone - not admitted. It is necessary only to understand, that until today this is the largest apparatus on the market among the mass models (not communicators, among them they occur model more and heavier).

External screen abolished the need for the complete turning of the upper part of the apparatus, now it is revealed only sideways, to assume by its internal screen upward is impossible, we already noted this moment scarcely higher. In this state the telephone resembles small video camera, it is very similar to it outwardly.

External screen according to the characteristics is compared from Nokia 6230, it has a permission of 128[kh]128 of points (28[kh]28 mm), reflects to 65 thousand colors. But the quality of picture differs somewhat from this model, it appears only more roughly, not so smoothly (it is visible the grid of TFT- matrix). For the screen of this size of its possibility of [vpechatlyayushchi], at the given moment there are no comparable in the characteristics external screens. In the sun we read screen, which is worth placing to it in the merit. Traditionally developers tried to maximally facilitate life to users, in particular, without opening apparatus it is possible to use camera (only regime of photography), it suffices to turn module from themselves or to themselves. Is supported the change of profiles, the disconnection of apparatus, reading communications at the screen, survey of the passed calls and their collection. It is interesting that in the closed state on the telephone it is possible to speak, but it automatically includes the regime of loud connection. I.e., you either allow so that surrounding would hear your conversation or they were forced to reveal apparatus. Naturally, we will not forget to mention the version of conversation on the set.

The key for the start/of disconnection on the upper end manages control of events on the external screen or, it is more precise, the module of camera. The button of the descent of lock is located on the right side, it answers also for the activation of vocal collection or commands. Only five-position joystick was placed below, it in the larger measure was necessary for the regime of photography, but it is completely suitable and here. Key is sufficiently convenient, to work with it is simple. It is another matter that the arrangement of this button to the right does not facilitate contact with the telephone. In the larger measure for you it is necessary to hold apparatus in the right hand so that the thumb would lie down on the joystick, but due to the size of telephone and its weight (173 grams), this is not always convenient. Holding N90 in the left hand, you will not be able conveniently to cope with joystick.

On the right side is located also slot for RS-MMC of the maps of memory, is supported their hot replacement. It is natural that is analogous Nokia 6630 or to later models, to use maps with a stress of 3 [v] here will not come out, only 1.8/3 v.

To the left side they carried out standard Pop-Port, near is located joint for the charger. Joint underwent serious change, it became more thinly. Serious prerequisites for changing the joint in this model it was not precisely, the overall value of housing makes it possible to place the joint of practically any size. Another question, that in the rule of company more lately must appear the row of the thin and miniature models, in which old joint will not be adequate. Technological rearmament in the larger measure is connected precisely with this question. It is possible to name the desire to renew a number of accessories the second reason, namely chargers - for the company this is the perceptible volume of sales. But the second reason is indirect, it not basic. Let us note that into delivery set enters the adapter, which makes it possible to use old chargers.

Problems with the gap of battery cover are corrected in the commercial version of [smartfona]. Cannot be said that cover is fastened as poured, but an improvement in the quality is present. To shake loose in the course of time it will not be, but conveniences in the disclosure in it will not appear. To minuses the process of disclosing the apparatus is worth carrying the need for mastering, it not always painless, sometimes is necessary cover to literally shake out.

Fastening SIM- map in the apparatus differs from the majority of the models of company, it located at an angle of 45 degrees has special catch on the side. On the photograph possible to assume that the slider pushes out map of the holder, but this is not so - it pushes out the cover of battery section. The possibility to take out map is caused by the presence of the profile, in which the telephone is not begun to operate, radio-block is opened. Specifically, for this regime is provided the possibility to take out card and if necessary to put into another apparatus. If we extract map with the switch oned radio-block, then reloading apparatus will occur. Developers calculated, that to touch basic storage battery the users must as less as possible, in this there is its logic.

, unfortunately, not all is very smooth with the time of the off-line operation of device. In the telephone adapts standard battery BL-5B, it lithiumionic with capacity 760 [mAch]. For the comparison in the majority of last [smartfonov] of company it is possible to see BL-5C with capacity 900 [mAch]. There are no original batteries of the increased capacity for N90, their appearance subsequently appears improbable. The declared operating time comprises to 240 hours in the standby mode and to 4.5 hours in the regime of conversation. In the actual conditions of Moscow networks the apparatus worked the order of the twenty-four hours (actually, about 18 hours). With the active use of all functions and in essence of photography of telephone noon was sufficient on (on the order of 3-4 rollers for 2 minutes each, to 60 photographs). Basic energy consumption is fallen for the work of two screens, louder in the comparison with the previous models bell, plus to the mechanical turnings, after which is activated one or other regime or another of telephone. Entire mechanical fairy scene in combination with the minimum capacity of storage battery does not pass without leaving a trace for the telephone. The most economical users can pass from N90 1.5-2 days, then apparatus will remind one of the need for charging. One should calculate that battery it will always be sufficient exactly on the day with 40 minutes of conversations and to 30 minutes of the use of other functions. The larger time of usage of an apparatus shortens the operating time, this weak place of apparatus. Large weight into 173 grams did not make it possible to increase battery to the capacity into 1100 [mAch] or more, this minus of device.

Let us pass from weak sides to the strong. It is possible to consider the internal screen of apparatus as the same with the complete confidence. Permission of the TFT- matrix of 352[kh]416 of points, with the physical size of the active region of 34,5[kh]41 mm (diagonal 2,13”). This type of screen becomes standard for many [smartfonov] from Nokia, it is possible to estimate as intermediate between QVGA and VGA by permission. Due to the small size of point the quality of picture on the screen very not bad, it is completely compared with the best models from Sharp. There are no analogs to screen among [smartfonov] of any producer today, it will remain best at least prior to the end of the year. Screen reflects to 262 thousand colors, which also makes with its interesting.

It is interesting that the quality of screen and its smaller permission in the comparison with the maximum permission of photographs makes even illegible photographs on it very beautiful, they appear excellently. From the uncommon things it is worthwhile to note the possibility of the manual brightness control of the illumination of screen (entire order of 32 positions!), to the present day this parameter was very weak in the products of company. The presence of the sensor, which answers for the automatic adjustment of the illumination of screen and keyboard under varied conditions of illumination, appears by the second unusualness. Technology makes it possible comfortably to work [smartfonom] both on the street in a sunny day and in shade of office. Both screens are read in bright sun, internal screen and picture on it is well visible.

Specially system types drew again under the possibilities of new screen in the company, they became thinner more air. The perception of types was improved, this is significant step forward in comparison with the previous models. We noted that in types was not always correctly carried out the positioning relative to other elements of formulation (for example, the lines of underlining in [organayzere]), which eats the part of the letters. In an example in the photographs it is evident that the letter Y, became the V. necessary to give credit to producer, they were corrected up to the moment of the commercial starting of omission with positioning of types.

Around the screen it is possible to see the keys, which serve for the work in the regime of camera, to speak about them here we will not be.

The keyboard of telephone is executed well, key from the plastic, they have a illumination of white color. Navigation key four-position, it has the inscribed inward button [ok]. digital keys large due to the size of apparatus. To work with the telephone by one hand, in particular, to collect communication, is heavy - hand rapidly gets tired: is shown the weight of apparatus, plus its partial imbalance. As the recommendation I can propose to hold apparatus, clenching by one finger the module of camera.

Operating system, memory, processor, productivity, the program

In Nokia Of n90 is established the operating system Of symbian of version 8.1a, which indicates the use of a nucleus EKA1, analogous utilized into Symbian of versions 6.1, 7.0 (in contrast to EKA2, of the ensuring [mnogozadachnost] in the real regime time). Model supports the packet of the renovations Of feature Of pack3, which designates the presence of the scaled interface, variable according to the size types. This is one of the most serious improvements in the operating system of [smartfona]. It is possible to consider an improvement in the regime of safety the second serious improvement. The development of the idea Of feature Of pack became the addition of the following functions:

  • Locations API - developers obtained tool for using different information about the position, its idea, search.
  • Wireless Of messaging API 2.0 - creation MMS of communications from the Java- applications
  • Scalable of 2d Vector Of graphics - JSR-226, in essence the support of size SVG
  • MMF DRM API - application from the strange companies can be turned to the depository DRM of the rights
  • EXIF API - addition EXIF of information to the photographs
  • Find Of item API - makes it possible to search for in the text of number, address of electronic mail, reference
  • Number of another API

The company Of nokia proposes for the developers new program tool for creating the programs under Feature Of pack 3. according to the idea it must be provide ford the compatability of old programs with the new version Of feature Of pack. In [testevom] model, which fell into our hands several months ago, with the compatability was everything bad - the lion’s share of programs simply did not work, it was not started. However, in the commercial model the compatability with the old programs proved to be at the height. Worked even that rejected normally to function to Nokia 6680/6681 (for example, the test packet Of sPMark). The mechanism of stretching works for the old programs. I.e., program seemingly sees the permission of 176×208 of points, and [smartfon] already extends the obtained image on entire screen. I.e., each point generates four identical points on the screen. Worse than the matter they proceed from Java by applications - they are reflected upper the leftist fourth of screen by size post stamp. Significant improved compatability Of nokia Of n90 with the strange programs - significant plus. We did not hope that the substantial improvement will occur, but it occurred.

Processor into N90 coincides with the same into Nokia 6680, it has a frequency of 220 MHz, changes on the productivity of apparatus to the best side no, faster, slower work occurs. Is subjective worsening in the operating speed insignificantly, in different regimes this from 5 to 10 percent of productivity. The slow tracing of photographs in the extended gallery is connected not with the speed of processor, but with the conversion of massive photographs into small [ikonki].

In N90 for all applications it is separated the order 31 mb. of memory, plus is accessible the memory of map. Memory is distributed dynamically, including for the Java- applications, there are no limitations to their size.

We give the test results Of jBenchmark, they make it possible to estimate the productivity of Java- machine.

In the comparative tables you see the comparison of different [smartfonov]. To make conclusions about the productivity of [smartfona] on the basis of this test is impossible, this is only the speed of the concrete realization Of java of machine. [Smartfon] Of nokia Of n90 shows not the best results.

The test Of sPmark characterizes the productivity of [smartfona] as good. Real speed it does not show - is more this as if boards, produced on “old” permission of screen. In the new permission - 356 x of 416 points - speed somewhat less. It cannot be said that it falls into the times, but a drop in the speed is noticeable.

Program filling, standard applications coincide with the same in the family of [smartfonov] from Nokia, there are no noticeable differences in them. The system of the recognition of voice, which does not depend on the pronunciation, is basic innovation, it does not require the creation of separate markers. I.e., to you it suffices to activate collection and to pronounce the name of subscriber, telephone will find it in the regular book and will be set up number. Thus is achieved navigation on the menu. System works without any problems, it is completely operational is and, most importantly, convenient. The quantity of markers, which was small in the previous apparatuses, is not here limitation, any name in the memory of telephone comes out as marker. Plus basic functions also can be caused with the aid of this system of the recognition of voice. The similar systems of recognition adapt in a number of [smartfonov] under control Windows Of mobile (strange solutions, supplied in the complete set with [smartfonami]), to Symbian devices they thus far rarity.

Additional [skrinshoty] of the screen Of nokia Of n90>>>

On its sonic possibilities Of n90 one of the best representatives of platform 60. In plus the dynamics is worth carrying arrangement, it sounds more loudly than on other models. Polyphony 64- tone, midi sounds well, but are quieter than [mr]3 or [AAS] of melody. In addition to [AAS] is supported the extended version of standard [AAS]+ and even eAAC+.

Impressions

On the quality of the connection Of n90 - typical representative of [smartfonov] from Nokia, any problems the device does not have. In comparison with Nokia 6680 telephones acquired a number of serious it was plus. In particular, the vocal recognition, which does not depend on the voice of that speaking, appeared without the preliminary record of markers. Screen in the telephone - one of the good on the market and best in its class of devices. External screen according to all joint characteristics is best in its class. Camera in the apparatus at the level of the best models, although to especially compare it not with which, is only Sony Of ericsson Of k750, which relates to another class of the devices (photograph they are compared everywhere besides macro-regime, here [K]750 it loses).

Now, strictly, the spoon of tar. To minuses it is possible to assign the following moments. Small capacity of standard battery, only one day of work in the standby mode for the majority of the cases. In the apparatus it is absent [vibrovyzov], developers correctly calculated, that to bear telephone on themselves there will be ones. The following deficiency is questionable, this the size of apparatus, it is completely compared with existing [smartfonami] in the folded state, but it is inferior to common telephones.

In the dry residue we have interesting device with a number of outstanding components, but also with the number of deficiencies. How pluses will hang somewhere else minuses, each must decide for itself, the selection of this device must be independent. From a mechanical point of view of censures to There are no n90, everything works excellently. On the camera you can read in the separate material, stop on it will not here be.

The model Of nokia Of n90 appeared in sale at the end of August. The current retail prices are beyond the clouds - about 1500 US dollars (FOB price - 804 US dollars). Price is unjustifiably high, to think about the acquisition of model possible, if price descends at least two times.

Taking into account that for the market will in autumn leave practically all 2-[megapikselnye] solutions of this year, situation will occur interesting, competition strongly will aggravate. In the sleeve in the number of companies already is [smartfony] with the sensory screens and the 3-[megapikselnymi] cameras, another question, how they will calculate by the expedient to let out them for the market in short periods, but not to wait for Christmas sales.

I recommend to look at N90 it is worthwhile thereby, who loves technologies for the technologies and is ready to overpay for them the times. In the rule from Nokia devices in the more customary performance analogous in the filling will appear only at the beginning of 2006.

P.S. as you do think, why company did not place in the runner Of n90 camera with the large permission and the possibilities, indeed there did can it will be placed and optical [zum]? Possibly, company does prepare the model Of nokia Of n95 with the 3-[megapikselnoy] camera and the optical [zumom]?

Possibilities of the 2-[megapikselnoy] camera Of nokia Of n90>>>

Episode The Commercial N81 Next Video: Nokia
It doesn’t really tell you much about the Nokia N81 until the end where it briefly shows that you can play movies, play music, and play games. I listened to the dialog to see what they’re talking about. It’s the greatest, smallest show on earth. In the next episode, we all have the same voice. Take a look. Since the Nokia N81 is certainly not for the power-users, I think it was a good decision not to place emphasis on its features. You can score from anywhere. of Bridge N95 Photos the Nokia Brooklyn
I usually just upload all my photos to Flickr. One of the things I love about my Nokia N95 is its 5-megapixel camera. So when my girlfriend told me she wanted to bring her cousins from California to the Brooklyn Bridge, I had my camera with me to snap pictures like a tourist in New York City. We enjoyed a nice view walking towards the middle of the bridge and then later drove to the Brooklyn side to watch the sunset with the Manhattan skyline. The Nokia N95’s 5-megapixel camera takes pictures up to 2592 x 1944 pixels, so I can make large prints if wanted. You can see the rest of the Brooklyn Bridge photos in my Flickr account.
